Impressive displays
Striker Robert Earnshaw and defender Daniel Gabbidon have been promoted from the Under-21 squad after some impressive club displays this season, including the English FA Cup third-round victory over Leeds United AFC. They have been included alongside the likes of in-form FA Premiership forwards Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy.
Indoor experience wanted
The friendly match at the Millennium Stadium on 13 February has been arranged at short notice after Argentina decided they wanted experience of playing under a closed roof. At the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals this summer, Argentina will be playing England indoors in Sapporo in their second group match.
