Article body
Steffen Iversen is a major doubt for Norway's friendly with Sweden next week but has been named in coach Nils Johan Semb's squad.
Check needed
Iversen, of English FA Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur FC, picked up an injury in last weekend's London derby against Arsenal FC. "We'll run a check on Steffen towards the end of the week," said Semb. The 25-year-old striker has scored seven goals in 26 international matches for Norway.
Strong squad
The coach has named a strong 20-man squad for the match against the 2002 FIFA World Cup finalists. Norway missed out on Korea/Japan but are gearing up for the start of their EURO 2004™ qualification campaign later in the year.
Special meeting
"It's always special to meet Sweden, it has been eight years since last we met," Semb added. Norway have not beaten Sweden in 20 years.
