Czech Republic coach Karel Brückner has called up five fresh players to his squad for this week’s mini-tournament in Cyprus.
New players selected
Uncapped defenders Václav Drobný of FK Chmel Blšany and SK Slavia Praha's Adam Petrous along with Lukáš Došek, Pavel Horváth and Miroslav Baranek, have been added to the party to face Hungary on Tuesday and either Cyprus or Switzerland on Wednesday. A total of eight uncapped players are now in the squad.
Injury problems
A thigh muscle problem has forced BV Borussia Dortmund playmaker Tomáš Rosický to withdraw, whilst knee injuries have ruled out Hamburger SV defender Milan Fukal and AC Sparta Praha’s Libor Sionko. Defenders Roman Týce and Marek Jankulovski complete the list of absentees.
