Simonsen starts with a stalemate

Luxembourg marked new coach Allan Simonsen's first game in charge with 0-0 friendly draw against Albania in Hesperange.

Plenty of chances
Played in driving rain on a slippery pitch, the game was evenly matched with both teams failing to capitalise on opportunities to score. Luxembourg goalkeeper Stéphane Gillet had to stretch to block Arean Bellaj's powerful volley in the 38th minute.

In the second half Luxembourg could not find a way past Albanian goalkeeper Arjan Beqaj who saved well from Sacha Schneider and Patrick Posing.
