FC Hansa Rostock striker Gernot Plassnegger and Grazer AK defender Joachim Standfest could well make their debuts in the match at Vienna's Erst-Happel stadium as coach Krankl will be free to experiment following the Austrians' elimination from the tournament.
Trio return
Martin Stranzl, Paul Scharner and Ronald Linz all return after recovering from injury, but Krankl has dropped Ferdinand Feldhofer, Mario Hieblinger, Bozo Kovacevic and Mario Haas from the squad for last month's 3-1 defeat against the Netherlands. Anton Ehman misses out due to suspension.
