Juanito makes way
Sáez has included Real Madrid CF defender Raúl Bravo and forward Guti as well as RC Deportivo La Coruña defender César Martín in his 20-man selection, while Juanito makes way.
Versatile players
"With an important qualifier like this, it's important to have your most versatile players even if it's just to cover those who get injured," Sáez said. "Guti is a versatile player who is able to pass well, can play in midfield or up front and that makes the team more complete."
César 'will come in handy'
Sáez added that the inclusion of defenders César and Raúl Bravo was specifically designed to combat Norway's aerial powers. "If anything distinguishes Norway it's their power in the air and César, for his strength in the air and ability to handle difficult moments, will come in handy," he said.
Changes possible
Sáez hinted that he may add one or two players to the squad after the weekend's Primera División matches - especially as Juan Carlos Valerón, Joseba Etxeberría, Carlos Marchena, Michel Salgado, Iván Helguera and César Martín are all within one booking of a suspension.
Match venues
The first leg will take place in the Mestalla, Valencia with the return in Oslo's Ullevål stadium. Spain have not failed to qualify for a major tournament since the 1992 UEFA European Championship.
