Ritter recall
Hörmann, the FC Vaduz coach who will take charge of Liechtenstein's final three UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifiers, has handed a recall to defender Christof Ritter who had fallen out with previous coach Ralf Loose. The Austrian Hörmann replaced Loose on a temporary basis after the latter was sacked last month.
'One of the best'
"Ritter is one of the best players in Liechtenstein. If he gives me the right answer and keeps the right attitude, he will surely get his chance on the pitch," the new coach said.
Quartet of keepers
Hörmann has also selected four goalkeepers for the game in San Marino. As well as regulars Peter Jehle and Martin Heeb, Under-21 internationals Philip Hammer and Daniel Stauble are also included, with Hörmann keen to try out his younger players.
Positive approach
"I am looking forward to working with the best of the best in Liechtenstein," Hörmann added. "I hope the players will accept the changes in the coaching team as well and that we will really function as unit," he added. Liechtenstein are bottom of EURO 2004™ Group 7 with one point from five matches.
