'The better team'
Sand believes that the Danes will prevail on Tuesday, saying: "I really do not see that big a difference between Sweden and Bulgaria, and I am convinced we will have the upper hand."
Sand kicked
Sand had trained in a swimming pool yesterday after being injured during Friday's 2-0 win against Bulgaria. "I got a kick on the front of my leg and one on the back of it, but I am fully recovered already and fit to play. I am training with the others at 100 per cent," he said.
Rommedahl recovering
The forward will soon be joined on the training ground by Dennis Rommedahl who was substituted after receiving an injury ten minutes into the victory at the Estádio Municipal de Braga. The winger also took to the water today but his hip and thigh injuries are not thought to be serious.
Late decision
"Dennis Rommedahl has been training in water this morning and is now training with the rest of the squad in order to see how much he can take," said team doctor Mogens Kreutzfeldt. "But I still do not expect us to be able to decide whether he can play or not until tomorrow - or maybe on the match day."
Closed session
As usual, Morten Olsen held a closed training session in the camp after the warm-up in order to keep a lid on the tactics and formations his squad are experimenting with. However, the coach remains convinced that tactics alone cannot win a game.
'Different system'
"The fact that Sweden play a different system from us, with two strikers, may make it easier for us in some ways, and more difficult in others," he said. "But it is not only a question of what system you are playing, but of the quality of the players who are playing it."
