Denmark count the cost

Denmark's advance to the quarter-finals has come at a price with injuries to Niclas Jensen, his brother Daniel and Martin Jørgensen.

Most serious
Niclas Jensen's is considered the most serious and he may yet be ruled out of the tournament. "I got a kick on the front of my leg in the first half, and as we came into the dressing room at half-time, it appeared that I had got a wound all the way to the bone," he said.

'Definitely out'
The full-back returned from hospital an hour after the match to join the rest of the squad on the flight back to the Danish camp in Alvor on the Algarve coast. "I definitely do not expect to be fit for the quarter-final," added the squad's only left-footer, who was replaced by Kasper Bøgelund at the break.

Jørgensen doubtful
It is also doubtful whether winger Jørgensen, substituted by Dennis Rommedahl in the second half, will be fit to play against the Czechs. "I got a thigh injury early in the match, and it never felt OK after that. I do not know if I can get fit for the quarter-final - we will simply have to wait and see," said Jørgensen.

Jensen substituted
The third player substituted during the 2-2 draw was Daniel Jensen who suffered a recurrence of the achilles problems which have been troubling him. However, he should be fit for Sunday's match in Porto.
