Larsson's triumphant return

Sweden 3-1 Poland Henrik Larsson took just 41 minutes to score on his international comeback.

Sweden 3-1 Poland
Henrik Larsson took just 41 minutes to score on his international comeback as Sweden gained victory in their final UEFA EURO 2004™ warm-up game.

Dream comeback
Larsson renounced his retirement from the Sweden team in April, and showed why his nation were keen to have him back by putting them ahead in Solna before Andreas Jakobsson and Marcus Allbäck added further goals prior to Damian Gorawski's consolation.

Larsson goal
Erik Edman crossed to give departing Celtic FC striker Larsson his 25 international goal on his 75th cap, to the delight of fans that had cheered his every move even in the warm-up. Sweden dominated the match, but took until the 54th minute to double the lead.

Lead increases
Kim Källström sent in a corner and defender Jakobsson rose to head in. Eighteen minutes later Polish goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek diverted the ball into the path of substitute Allbäck who could not miss from close range.

Late consolation
Gorawski, also on as a replacement, opened Poland's account just before the end, but Sweden will go into their 14 June EURO 2004™ opener against Bulgaria in confident mood.
