Article body
Czech Republic international midfield player Tomáš Rosický faces a spell on the sidelines after breaking his arm in BV Borussia Dortmund's 2-0 defeat by Bundesliga leaders SV Werden Bremen on Saturday.
Further checks
Rosický sustained the injury to his lower left arm in a challenge with Bremen defender Mladen Krstajic five minutes from the end of the league fixture. Dortmund, who have only just overcome a previous injury crisis, said further checks would be needed before they would know how long Rosický would be out for.
March friendly
Rosický appeared in seven of the Czech Republic's eight UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifiers, as they sealed first place in Group 3, and earlier this month scored a late equaliser in their 2-2 draw with Italy. Their next friendly is in the Republic of Ireland on 31 March and their campaign in Portugal begins on 15 June against Group D rivals Latvia in Aveiro.
Sixth place
Dortmund's defeat kept them sixth in the Bundesliga. Click here for the rest of today's Bundesliga news.
