Slovenia coach Brane Oblak has named a 20-man squad for the UEFA EURO 2008™ Group G qualifiers at home to Luxembourg on 7 October and away in Belarus four days later.
Must-win match
Slovenia made a poor start to the qualifying campaign when they were defeated 3-0 by Bulgaria in Sofia on 6 September and Oblak is under no illusions about the task ahead. "We have to win against Luxembourg so I'm not thinking of Belarus for now, I'm entirely focused on Luxembourg," he said. "I believe we are technically stronger and we will be playing to win." The Netherlands top the group with six points from two games, followed by Bulgaria and Romania on four points, Albania and Belarus on one, with Luxembourg and Slovenia still to get off the mark.
