Home-based trio
The debutants are the Slovenia-based trio of Domen Beršnjak, Janez Zavrl and Bojan Jokič, plus Dalibor Stevanovič and Milivoje Novakovič who play their football in Spain and Bulgaria with Real Sociedad de Fútbol and PFC Litex Lovech respectively. However, LOSC Lille Métropole playmaker Milenko Ačimovič is a notable absentee with the broken ankle which has sidelined him for the remainder of the season. Slovenia will play hosts Cyprus in their first game, before a second match against either Romania or Armenia.
