Siena resurgence
The 29-year-old former Arsenal FC and FC Salzburg custodian earned the last of his 18 caps in October 2004 but wins a recall after impressing with his new club AC Siena in Serie A. Manninger has conceded only nine goals in ten games to help Siena to fifth place in Italy. He also benefits from coach Josef Hickersberger's decision to let Jürgen Macho stay with his club side 1. FC Kaiserslautern over the next week.
Back from injury
Hickersberger's squad is notable too for the presence of captain Andreas Ivanschitz who has overcome a foot injury.
