Moldova have appointed Anatoliy Teslev as the coach to lead them through UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying.
Pasulko out
The 58-year-old replaces Viktor Pasulko, who had been in charge since 2002 but did not have his contract renewed when it expired in December 2005. Teslev will be assisted by Igor Dobrovolsky, although the former Soviet international will combine the role with his club duties at FC Tiligul Tiraspol.
Respected name
Teslev is highly regarded in Moldova after a distinguished career stretching back to 1966. He began coaching at FC Nistru Chisinau, one of his former clubs, and has since taken charge of a number of teams - including CSF Zimbru Chisinau and FC Constructorul - as well as the Moldova Under-21 side.
