Estonia coach Jelle Goes has been able to name a full-strength squad for his side's UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier against Russia in St Petersburg on 11 October.

Rooba missing
Vejle BK left-back Urmas Rooba and former FC Flora midfielder Joel Lindpere both miss out on selection but neither have featured regularly for some time. Rooba is not yet match fit after recently recovering from injury while Lindpere has been suspended by the Estonian Football Association for assaulting a referee.

Heracles test
Goes will cut his travelling squad from 22 down to 20 after playing a friendly match against Dutch Eredivisie club Heracles Almelo in Tallinn on Friday. The match, against Estonia midfielder Ragnar Klavan’s club side, will be a welcome test for the likes of Dmitri Kruglov, Andrei Stepanov, Enar Jääger, Mart Poom, Taavi Rähn and Sergei Terehhov who lack either match practice or fitness. The only uncapped player in the squad is FC Levadia Tallinn's 21-year-old forward Ats Purje, who has been called up to the full national squad before. Estonia are yet to pick up a point after opening their Group E campaign with home defeats against F.Y.R. Macedonia and Israel.
