EURO hosts to stage friendly event

Switzerland and Austria will jointly stage a four-nation tournament in September as a warm-up for their joint hosting of UEFA EURO 2008™.

Austria and Switzerland will jointly stage a four-nation tournament in September as a warm-up for their co-hosting of UEFA EURO 2008™.

Friendly meeting
Costa Rica and Venezuela will also compete in the tournament which begins in Geneva on 2 September and concludes in Basel on 6 September. The match schedule has yet to be decided but Switzerland and Austria will not meet as they have a friendly scheduled for 11 October. A similar event is expected to take place in Austria in 2007.
