England coach Steve McClaren has recalled Charlton Athletic FC's Scott Carson and Darren Bent for the UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifiers against Israel and Andorra.

Extra option
Carson replaces injured goalkeeper Chris Kirkland while Bent will add to England's striking options with both players having missed the cut for the friendly defeat by Spain in February. Defender Ashley Cole is suspended for England's Group E visit to Tel-Aviv on 24 March but will be available against Andorra in Barcelona on 28 March. "We need to have a positive, aggressive nature going into this game," McClaren said of the Israel tie. "It's that English aggression, backs-against-the-wall kind of performance that we need."
