The Netherlands will train in Lausanne for the first time on Wednesday morning after arriving in Switzerland in confident mood.
Training day
If Giovanni van Bronckhorst is any indicator of the mood in the camp, then the Oranje will not only have a spring in their step when they stride out at the Swiss city's Stade Olympique – they will also feel capable of walking on air.
Talk of champions
"I think we will become champions," said the 33-year-old Van Bronckhorst. The Feyenoord left-back's message came from the town of Noordwijk on Tuesday afternoon, where the squad assembled before their departure – from Amsterdam's Schiphol airport – for Geneva. Marco van Basten's men may be making a base in Lausanne but their three matches in Group C, against Italy, France and Romania, will all take place in Berne.
