'If not now, when?'
Born in Madrid, the 33-year-old will perform as part of the warm-up show at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion before Germany take on Spain. "I'm really delighted to be able to make my contribution to the football festival in Switzerland and Austria," said Enrique, who has registered No1 hits across the world. "It's a real honour to perform at the final." However, he admitted that he would be rooting for Spain to add to their 1964 UEFA European Championship success. "The time has come," he said. "If not now, when?"

Final chance
Enrique's father Julio Iglesias was a youth-team goalkeeper at Real Madrid CF before being involved in a car accident that moved him towards a musical career, and Enrique also played football as a boy prior to moving to the United States. His passion for the game informed the writing of 'Can You Hear Me?'. "I wanted to write a song that would really enthuse the fans, whether they are in the stadium, the pub or wherever else they hear it played," he explained, adding with a smile: "Really I only wrote the song to get the chance to play at a EURO final."
