Greece appearance
The left-back, who turns 26 next week, has agreed a five-year deal at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán club and will join the UEFA Cup contenders at the conclusion of this summer's tournament. Fernando Navarro's consistent displays for seventh-placed finishers Mallorca were rewarded when he became one of five uncapped players named by Spain coach Luis Aragonés in his UEFA EURO 2008™ squad. The former FC Barcelona prospect has made two appearances for his country, winning his most recent cap when completing 90 minutes in the 2-1 victory against Greece in Wednesday's Group D finale.
Sevilla signings
Sevilla have already been busy in the transfer market with 20-year-old Argentinian midfielder Lautaro Acosta from CA Lanús being the first close-season recruit. The Andalusians, fifth in the 2007/08 Primera División, also landed French right-back Abdoulay Konko, 24, on a five-year contract from Genoa CFC for a fee believed to be in the region of €9m. Defender David Prieto, meanwhile, has extended his contract until 2010.
