As its technical, administrative and organisational activities constantly evolve, so the Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) has decided to expand its headquarters in Mondercange.
The FLF base in the south-west of the country not only houses the federation offices but also its technical training centre, yet these premises which opened in 2005 are now ready for an extension.
The redevelopment will include a new reception, additional offices and meeting rooms, a lecture hall, a laundry, and several areas reserved for sports activities.
The national youth teams and the women's national team will have their own dressing rooms. Students at the FLF football academy will benefit from specially designed classrooms to aid the academic side of their education.
For referee and coach education or development, there will be rooms fitted with the latest audiovisual equipment.
This ambitious project will be realised with contributions from FIFA and UEFA's assistance programmes, as well as from subsidies from the Luxembourg authorities and the FLF's own resources.
When the work, which began in March last year, is completed by mid-2010, the federation will have a multifunctional modern facility at its disposal where it can carry out its many operations in the best possible conditions.
