The Football Federation of Armenia (HFF) has launched an A licence course for coaches run by HFF technical director Flemming Serritslev and following the guidelines of UEFA's Jira Panel.
The introductory session took place on 6 and 7 February, with the course scheduled to last until December. It will include theory and practical study and training sessions, as well as study trips to one or two top European clubs to observe training.
According to new club licensing regulations, head coaches and first assistants at Armenian Premier League teams will require the A licence. All such officials are therefore taking the course.
HFF coaching instructors are also attending as auditors. The instructors have already obtained A licences via an earlier course organised by the association, and will monitor the new set of participants.
On the first day of the course, fitness coach Rodrigo Roldan gave a lecture on physical preparation, covering the main theoretical elements and practical exercises.
UEFA Jira Panel representative Erich Rutemöller, former head coach of 1. FC Köln, was also present at the introductory session in order to acquaint himself with the course content, lecture and make an initial assessment.
