A total of 250 interviews have taken place over a four-day period in the four Polish host cities – Gdansk, Poznan, Warsaw and Wroclaw – to choose the 125 students from Poland who will work at the UEFA EURO 2012 finals in the three host broadcasting domains of TV & Video Production, HB Logistics and Broadcaster Servicing.

For the interviews with the Polish candidates for theUEFA EURO 2012 HB Talent Programme, the universities created excellent professional conditions and were exceptional in supporting UEFA in delivering the scheme's recruitment phase to the required standard.

UEFA has established the programme as a means of giving talented students work experience during the tournament in positions related to their academic studies in the fields of media, journalism and sport management. The following Polish universities have been chosen to work together with UEFA on the project:

• University of Warsaw (Universitas Varoviensis)
• University School of Physical Education in Wroclaw (Akademia Wychowania Fizyczengo we Wrocławiu)
• Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan (Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu)
• University of Gdansk (Uniwersytet Gdański)

The team of six UEFA interviewers were impressed with the quality, commitment and motivation of the students – so much so that additional positions have been made available to the programme, thereby giving more students the opportunity to experience working at UEFA EURO 2012, which runs from 8 June to 1 July 2012.

Candidates will find out on 14 October if they have been successful. Those who are unsuccessful will receive access to UEFA's project management elearning portal aimed at developing their project management skills in their academic studies and projects, as well as future jobs. The programme officially opens for successful students on 1 November.

UEFA heads to Ukraine on 24 October to interview candidates in the host cities of Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv and Donetsk.
