Ukraine's deputy prime minister Borys Kolesnikov and the mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadoviy were among the dignitaries who attended the opening of the new terminal at Lviv International Airport ahead of UEFA EURO 2012.

Delegates were shown around the new terminal, with Kolesnikov delighted to see how the authorities had met the challenge of building it. "It is very pleasing that we Ukrainians have managed to cope with such a difficult task as building a new terminal in 22 months," he said. President Viktor Yanukovych is likely to come for the opening of the renovated airport at the end of March.
