UEFA eEURO 2021: Key dates

Take note of the important dates to ensure you do not miss the action on the way to the finals.

November 2020–February 2021: Team selection
National associations recruit and select their players, either through a tournament or by appointing a national efootball team already in existence.

8 February 2021: Qualifying group stage draw
Competing countries will be drawn into ten groups of five or six, just like the European Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2020.

15, 29 March, 12, 26 April 2021: Qualifying group stage
Every country plays two matches each (1-vs-1) against the other nations in their group; points from both matches will be added to the group table. The ten group winners qualify directly for the final tournament.

29 April 2021: Play-off tournament draw
The ten group runners-up will be divided into two groups of five.

10, 17 May 2021: Play-off tournament
Every country plays two matches each (1-vs-1) against the other nations in their group; points from both matches will be added to the group table. The top three from each section qualify for the final tournament.

25 May 2021: UEFA eEURO 2021 group stage draw
The 16 teams will be drawn into four groups of four. 

8–10 July 2021: UEFA eEURO 2021 finals
The top two from each pool advance to the knockout stage. The four group winners will be randomly drawn against a runner-up team from another group. Every match until the final will then be a best-of-three series, with the final itself played as a best of five.
