Each player’s Fantasy points have been retrospectively calculated based on minutes played, goals conceded, clean sheets, goals and assists. Saves, yellow cards, red cards and any other points metrics are not included in these calculations and this same scoring system has been used across all tournaments for the sake of consistency.

Each team of the tournament adheres to the same formation rules that apply to EURO 2020 Fantasy Football: at least three defenders, two midfielders and one forward.

There were some tournaments where several players finished on the same number of points and there was no statistical way to separate them in terms of their Fantasy performance. When this occurred, the players selected for the XI were chosen to give the biggest spread of nationalities.

The points totals in the first five tournaments are naturally lower as it wasn't until 1980 that a group stage was introduced, and subsequently more matches took place.
