Luis Aragonés has left the injured Carles Puyol,Antonio Puerta, Javi Navarro and Joan Capdevila out of his 18-man Spain squad for Wednesday's friendly in Greece.

'Tough call'
"It's been a tough call because it's the pre-season," said Aragonés, who has recalled Club Atlético de Madrid defenders Pablo Álvarez and Mariano Pernía. "Some players take longer to get fit than others but from what we've seen we've picked the fittest. The national team needs extraordinary players - that's what football is about. The coach cannot play. I always try to be as fair as I can and I've only picked 18 players because we won't be training much before the game." Four successive wins have left Spain second in UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying Group F.
