Key matchday info for Roma supporters

You’ve got your hands on a match ticket? It’s now time to get planning! You’ll find everything you need to know here if you're a Roma supporter travelling to Budapest for the UEFA Europa League final.

💡 Know before you go

⚠️ Enter your personal details in the UEFA Mobile Tickets app

This is a mandatory step and the information must match the ID you carry with you on matchday. Remember all fans will be subject to ID checks when entering the stadium and copies or ID screenshots won’t be accepted.

1. DOWNLOAD your tickets on the UEFA Mobile Tickets app
2. KEEP your own ticket and enter your personal details
3. TRANSFER the remaining tickets to others in your group, or
4. KEEP them and enter your guests’ personal details on the app

Transferring is the recommended option as it’ll speed things up at stadium entry on matchday.

🧳 Travel to Budapest

Entry and visa requirements from Italy

  • If you’re coming by plane, you will most likely arrive at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport (BUD). From Italy, EU citizens can enter Hungary with their national ID card or passport and won’t need a visa. Extra EU citizens can enter Hungary visa free, provided that they have a valid EU residence permit, which allows to travel to other Schengen countries for a maximum of 90 days every 180 days.

Charter flights to Budapest

If you're travelling as part of an organised group on a charter flight from Italy, you'll touch down at Budapest Airport (BUD). Your travel agency will inform you about your travel options from here to the Roma Fan Meeting Point in City Park.

Remember to travel light without check-in luggage and don’t bring a bag larger than A4 size to Puskás Aréna as it won't be allowed inside the stadium.

Coming to Budapest by car is not recommended due to high traffic on matchday. However, if you do drive, please keep in mind that parking in the city is extremely limited and there’ll be the usual workday traffic since the match is on a weekday. Here’s a list of recommended car parks for Roma supporters coming by car:

A free shuttle service will be available to ticket holders from the MVM Dome Parking to the Roma Fan Meeting Point in City Park.

This car park is very close to Puskás Aréna, but will fill up quickly, so make sure you get there early on matchday to get a spot. Pre-booking is not available.

🚍 For charter buses from Rome

Charter buses departing from Rome must book their matchday parking slot at the Roma Fan Meeting Point in advance. Buses without a confirmed parking pass will be turned way.

Roma supporters will be gathering at the Fan Meeting Point in City Park, a public park close to the centre of Budapest. The celebrations will be in full swing on matchday with live entertainment, food and drink kiosks and more. All supporters are invited to join this free-to-enter event, meet fellow fans and get in the matchday spirit!

Make your way here early so you can make the most of your Budapest experience and won’t have to worry about the matchday rush.

You’ll find multiple concession stands where you can grab a tasty snack (or a cold beer!). There will be an info point for any assistance you may need. Toilets will also be available at the Fan Meeting Point.

🚶 Getting to the stadium

Puskás Aréna is located just 2 km from the Roma Fan Meeting Point. It will take you 25 minutes to walk from the Fan Meeting Point to the stadium, so show your colours and join your fellow supporters on the way to the final. Set off early and leave enough time for ID checks and stadium entry.

Going to the Roma Fan Meeting Point before heading to the stadium is highly recommended. If you’re going to Puskás Aréna from somewhere else in the city, use metro lines M2 or M4 to Keleti pályaudvar and then follow the signage towards the stadium and the gate indicated on your match ticket (E or F).

👋 After the match

Supporters on charter flights ✈️

After the match, please head back to your Fan Meeting Point where you were dropped off. Please confirm your transport from the Fan Meeting Point to the airport with your tour operator so you don’t miss your flight back home.

If the match goes to extra time or even penalties, your charter flights may leave at a different time. Live departure information will be available on the Budapest Airport (BUD) website. Please speak to staff at the Fan Meeting Point should you require any assistance.

Public transport after the match 🚇

With a 21:00 kick-off and the Trophy Ceremony after the match, you can expect the celebrations at the stadium to be over at around 23:20. If there's extra time or penalties, expect the action on the pitch to continue until 00:15.

As you know football is unpredictable and things can always change. These times should be considered estimates!

Public transport will be running at its highest frequency after the match. Metro and tram services will be extended should the match go to extra time or penalties, so you won’t have to worry about missing the last service to the city centre.
