Substitute Aleksei Ionov struck a last-gasp winner as FC Dinamo Moskva secured a sixth successive UEFA Europa League win in Group E with a 1-0 success at PSV Eindhoven.

Hungarian midfielder Balázs Dzsudzsák, who represented PSV from 2008 to 2011, found Ionov in the 90th minute and the midfielder rounded home custodian Remko Pasveer before slotting into the empty net.

The visitors almost struck much earlier, but skipper Kevin Kuranyi's third-minute effort was blocked from close range. Seven minutes later, Dinamo goalkeeper Anton Shunin sprinted out to deny Florian Jozefzoon.

Netherlands forward Memphis Depay, who had notched three goals in three appearances in Europe this term, looked the most likely to break the deadlock in the first half. The No7 fired just past the post after cutting inside on the edge of the box.

The Belo-Golubye threatened through William Vainqueur shortly afterwards. The French midfielder attempted to break the deadlock from distance, but Pasveer dived low to save in the 27th minute.

Phillip Cocu's men began the second half firmly on the front foot. Depay forced a good save from Shunin before missing the target with two further attempts. Stanislav Cherchesov's side responded well but saw three efforts saved by Pasveer. Defender Douglas headed straight at the goalkeeper from a corner. Eight minutes later, Ionov was denied from close range, and Valbuena's free-kick was tipped over.

Substitute Georginio Wijnaldum – who struck an 82nd-minute equaliser on matchday five – squandered a glorious opening nine minutes from time, a miss the home side were left to rue after Ionov's late winner.
