RC Strasbourg's influential goalkeeper Stéphane Cassard will take no part in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie against PFC Litex Lovech after suffering a broken cheekbone on Saturday.

Thomert collision
The 33-year-old collided with Olivier Thomert in the 77th minute of Strasbourg's 2-1 Ligue 1 loss against RC Lens and had the fracture diagnosed and underwent surgery on a damaged eyelid the following morning. Nicolas Puydebois is expected to deputise against Litex on 15 and 23 February, having made one UEFA Cup and seven league appearances already this season.

Gameiro sprain
Strasbourg could also be without midfielder Pascal Johansen, who has an achilles injury, for the tie against the Bulgarian outfit. In addition, the struggling French side have lost the services of striker Kévin Gameiro for a week with a sprained ankle. The 20-year-old, who scored twice against FK Crvena Zvezda in the UEFA Cup group stage, registered his first Ligue 1 goal of the season against Lens.
