BSC Young Boys goalkeeper Marco Wölfli will miss the second leg of the UEFA Cup first qualifying round tie against FC Banants after being ruled out for up to a month with a hamstring injury.
The 24-year-old custodian sustained the pull to his right leg just before half-time last night as Young Boys drew 1-1 at FC Aarau – the same scoreline as their trip to Armenia last week. The tie concludes in Berne a week on Thursday, with Paulo Collaviti expected to play in goal for Young Boys. Meanwhile, fellow Swiss UEFA Cup challengers FC Sion have brought in Mozambique left-back Martinho Martins on a three-year contract. The 25-year-old, who has a Portuguese passport and is usually known by his nickname Paíto, spent last season on loan at SC Braga from RCD Mallorca.
