Both sides will be looking to earn their first victories as SK Brann host NK Dinamo Zagreb with the two sides level on one point in Group D.

• Brann have earned just one point from their two Group D games to date. They lost their opener 1-0 at home against Hamburger SV but then earned a 1-1 draw at Stade Rennais FC on Matchday 2.

• Branko Ivanković's Dinamo also have one point having drawn 0-0 at home against section leaders FC Basel 1893 in their only group stage fixture to date.

• The two sides have never met in UEFA club competition.

• Brann have played two games against Croatian opponents, taking on NK Varteks in a UEFA Intertoto Cup second round game in 1999. They won 3-0 at home, lost 3-0 away and lost 5-4 on penalties.

• Brann coach Mons Ivar Mjelde came on as a substitute in both legs of that tie, scoring his side's first penalty in the shootout.

• Dinamo Zagreb are playing their first game against Norwegian opposition.

• Brann claimed their first Norwegian title in 44 years in late October. "Some people have said it was not possible for a Bergen club to win the league, because of the pressure. Now we have proved them wrong," said Mjelde. The Norwegian domestic season is now over.

• The next caution received by Eirik Bakke and Thorstein Helstad will result in a one-match ban, while Hassan El-Fakiri is suspended for the remainder of the group stage following his red card against Stade Rennais FC on Matchday 2.
