Club Atlético de Madrid have rewarded youth team prospect Ignacio Camacho with his first professional deal.
The 17-year-old midfielder, who has signed a contract until June 2010, has already appeared for the first team this season, replacing Simão as a second-half substitute during the first leg of the Copa del Rey tie with Granada 74 on 12 December. "I'm very happy at the club trusting me," said Camacho, who was part of Spain's UEFA European Under-17 Championship winning squad last summer. "I have always given all I have for the club and although this is an important step for me, I would rather keep calm because I still have a lot to prove." Atlético face English Premier League side Bolton Wanderers FC in the last 32 of the UEFA Cup.
