Aberdeen FC have bolstered their squad for the resumption of their UEFA Cup campaign with the signing of promising midfielder Josh Walker, who joins on loan from Middlesbrough FC for the rest of the season.
Debut delayed
The 18-year-old, who has captained England at Under-16 and U17 level, would have been available for tonight's Scottish League Cup semi-final against Dundee United FC at Tynecastle but a waterlogged pitch has now seen this fixture postponed.
'Show what he can do'
Aberdeen forward Omatsone Aluko has played with Walker at international level and is confident he can make an impact in Scotland, saying: "Josh is a very good player, very good technically and well thought of in England. He can come here and do a very good job for the side; he's desperate to show everyone what he can do." Aberdeen face FC Bayern München in the last 32 of the UEFA Cup with the first leg at Pittodrie on 14 February.
