Wolfsburg lose Grafite to knee surgery

VfL Wolfsburg will be without top goalscorer Grafite during their upcoming UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie against Paris Saint-Germain FC after the Brazilian underwent minor surgery on the meniscus in his right knee on Friday.

'Small operation'
The 29-year old will be sidelined for around three weeks following the procedure in Hamburg, although Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath said: "It was just a small operation." Grafite has scored 12 Bundesliga goals in as many games this season and has registered in each of his three UEFA Cup matches this term. The forward will be missing on Wednesday when Wolfsburg travel to France and is also expected to miss the return match on 26 February.
