UEFA Europa League hopefuls Juventus have picked up their ninth recruit of the summer after agreeing a year-long loan deal for SSC Napoli forward Fabio Quagliarella.

The Turin side will pay Napoli €4.5m to secure Quagliarella's services for the 2010/11 campaign and will then have the option of making his transfer permanent by investing a further €10m. Capped 22 times by Italy and part of the Azzurri's 2010 FIFA World Cup squad, the versatile player struck 11 goals in 34 Serie A appearances for Napoli last term after arriving from Udinese Calcio in the summer of 2009.

He joins a club experiencing major turnover since finishing seventh in the league last season, with coach Luigi Delneri replacing Alberto Zaccheroni in the dugout and eight other new faces in the playing ranks: Marco Storari, Marco Motta, Leonardo Bonucci, Alberto Aquilani, Miloš Krasić, Jorge Martínez, Davide Lanzafame and Simone Pepe. Juve have been drawn in UEFA Europa League Group A alongside Manchester City FC, FC Salzburg and KKS Lech Poznań, while their Serie A campaign begins away against AS Bari on Sunday.
