Estoril Praia need to win at home against PSV Eindhoven on matchday five to have any hope of grabbing second place in UEFA Europa League Group E.

Form guide
PSV beat Estoril 1-0 on matchday one but have not won in four games in Portugal (D1 L3) since a 2-1 victory at SL Benfica in a March 1975 European Cup Winner's Cup fixture. A draw, however, would be enough to confirm their place in the round of 32.

Estoril can make it to the knockout phase if they win their remaining two games, and PSV fail to beat section leaders FC Dinamo Moskva on matchday six.

PSV's 3-2 win at Panathinaikos FC enabled the Dutch side to usurp Benfica as the club with the most goals in the UEFA Europa League. They have now scored 69 times in 46 matches.

PSV midfielder Stijn Schaars and right-back Santiago Arias both played in the Liga for Sporting Clube de Portugal from 2011 to 2013.

Estoril's Polish goalkeeper Paweł Kieszek spent the 2011/12 campaign in the Netherlands with Roda JC.

The coaches
Estoril coach José Couceiro has had a varied career since taking charge of FC Alverca in the early 2000s. At various times he has been Portugal Under-21 coach and Lithuania's national team boss, opting for adventures in Turkey and Russia more recently. He took charge at Estoril this year after leaving Vitória FC.

• Having led PSV to Dutch Cup glory as caretaker coach in 2012, former midfielder Phillip Cocu took permanent command in 2013, after learning the ropes in a number of roles at the club. As a player, he collected 101 caps for the Netherlands and won four titles in two spells at PSV, as well as the 1998/99 Spanish crown with FC Barcelona, his club from 1998 to 2004.
