Mönchengladbach's Danish international centre-back opened the scoring in a 2-1 defeat by Hamburg on Sunday and was largely responsible for keeping the scoreline close, making 14 clearances and winning four aerial duels.

27: Nicolae Stanciu (Anderlecht) –16 places
Anderlecht's match winner against APOEL on Thursday, Stanciu provided an assist and created six further chances in a 3-0 success against Waasland-Beveren.

42: Ralf Fährmann (Schalke) –14 places
Fährmann played a crucial role in Schalke's 3-0 defeat of Augsburg, saving a penalty and making three further stops, three punches and two high claims in a morale-boosting clean sheet.

75: Vincent Aboubakar (Beşiktaş) –52 places
