Club Atlético de Madrid midfielder Peter Luccin has agreed to join Real Zaragoza just hours before the transfer window closes at midnight.
The 28-year-old Frenchman is undergoing a medical in Zaragoza and is expected to be unveiled at La Romareda this afternoon. Luccin, who will sign a three-year contract, started out at AS Cannes before moves to FC Girondins de Bordeaux, Olympique de Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain FC and RC Celta de Vigo, in 2001, where he played under Zaragoza coach Víctor Fernández. He left Celta for Atlético in 2004, making 89 league appearances for the capital team. Zaragoza will face Aris Thessaloniki FC in the UEFA Cup first round.
