International experience
The 26-year-old Kürsat, who has made one appearance for Turkey, has signed from Rizespor after the expiry of his contract. The central defender said: "I have come to a great club and I am aware of that. I will be very happy if I can contribute to the team's success."
Crowd backing
Adem, 25, had a year left on his deal at MKE Ankaragücü but the full-back had no hesitation in joining the club he supported as a boy. "I am very excited," he said. "The Besiktas supporters are fantastic, a great group of fans who always back the team."
Busy summer
Besiktas have been busy this close season, recruiting Turkey Under-21 goalkeeper Volkan Ünlü and midfielder Ali Tandogan, while agreeing new deals with midfielder Sergen Yalçin and goalkeeper Oscar Córdoba. The club will play in the 2005/06 UEFA Cup, starting in the second qualifying round.
