Charras to miss Torpedo tie

PFC CSKA Sofia will be without defender Marcos Charras for the UEFA Cup tie against FC Torpedo Moskva.

Torn muscle
The left-back tore a thigh muscle during a friendly on Wednesday and will be out of action for at least three weeks. The Argentinian Under-21 international will also miss league games against PFC Spartak Varna, PFC Botev Plovdiv and PFC Chernomorets Bourgas.

Second major blow
However, Charras is expected to be fit for the return leg in Moscow on 15 October. CSKA coach Stoicho Mladenov is already without midfield player Svetoslav Petrov, who has been sidelined until the end of the month with a knee injury.

Mukassi released
South African striker McDonald Mukassi will also miss the tie as he has been temporarily released by the club to resolve some personal problems in his homeland.
