Mallorca count cost of Franco injury

RCD Mallorca goalkeeper Leo Franco has joined Hipólito Fernández and Federico Lussenhoff on the sidelines.

Franco missing
The Balearic island side, who lead 2-1 from the first leg in Cyprus, will almost certainly be without goalkeeper Leo Franco for the return after he joined Hipólito Fernández 'Poli' and Federico Lussenhoff on the sidelines.

Knee sprain
The 26-year-old Franco limped out of training on Tuesday after spraining his left knee while the squad were preparing for Wednesday's Copa del Rey tie against CD Sabadell. The club's medical staff believe the Argentinian keeper will be out of action for at least three weeks. His place in the side will go to Miguel Garro 'Miki', while B team custodian Alberto Cifuentes will come into the squad as cover.

Defenders also absent
Mallorca have also confirmed that left-back Poli will be sidelined for a similar period with a groin injury while defender Lussenhoff will also take about a month to recover from ligament damage.
