SL Benfica and PSV Eindhoven will replay their 1988 European Champion Clubs' Cup final in the UEFA Europa League's last eight after the draw for the remainder of the competition was made in Nyon by UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino and Dublin final ambassador Ronnie Whelan.

For the first time three Portuguese sides have made the quarter-finals of the same UEFA competition – and they have been kept apart in the last eight on 7 and 14 April. While Benfica face PSV, the penalty shoot-out victors in that final 23 years ago, FC Porto will play FC Spartak Mosvka having knocked out PFC CSKA Mosvka on Thursday. SC Braga take on FC Dynamo Kyiv after both teams eliminated English opposition in the round of 16, and Villarreal CF and FC Twente meet in the other tie.

In the semi-final draw, also made today, there is a potential match-up between Braga and Benfica on 28 April and 5 May if both win their last-eight ties. The final, which could yet be an all-Portuguese or all-Dutch affair, will be played at 20.45CET on 18 May at Dublin Arena in the Republic of Ireland.
