FC Twente came from behind to beat Wisła Kraków 4-1 and record their first win in UEFA Europa League Group K.

Defeated 3-1 by Odense BK on matchday one, Wisła went ahead through David Biton's rasping effort. Twente's predatory strike force then came to the fore, a goal apiece from Luuk de Jong and Marc Janko drawing them level before the interval. The latter, with his 12th strike this term – one more than his attacking accomplice – and substitute Willem Janssen completed the scoring.

The tone was set after just two minutes, Ola John finding himself with the freedom of the left flank and crossing perfectly for Janko, who though able to meet the ball sweetly, could not keep it down. Seven minutes later, receiving possession 40 metres from goal and with his back to the target, Biton spun, ran unimpeded and unleashed a viciously dipping shot.

Janko should have drawn Co Adriaanse's side level when Sergei Parenko, having parried Wout Brama's volley, somehow reacted to keep out the rebound. He was helpless just after the half-hour, though, De Jong stooping low to head John's free-kick in at the far post.

Biton could have restored the visitors' lead but nodded wide, leaving it to Janko to have the final say of the half with the sweetest of half-volleys from John's cross. Though it started from an agricultural clearance by Peter Wisgerhof, Janko's second was equally admirable, a clinical toe-poke after splendid control on his chest.

Emir Bajrami appeared to be a one-man threat thereafter, denied by Pareiko from close range before hitting the bar with a swerving shot and a firm header. Janssen assumed his mantle with ten minutes remaining, driving low into the bottom corner to wrap up the three points.
