I am really pleased with the result. We did not expect to score that many goals here. Getting three goals was very important if we think about the upcoming games and advancing to knockout stage. We certainly want to make it through from the group stage. Now we just have to focus in the same way for the next game, against FC København.

HJK were tough opponents. We knew they had won their championship for several seasons in a row. We had them analysed really well and knew what to expect. They have good players, but we played well tonight. It was of course nice to score a goal. We practice a lot of dead-ball situations and that was a result of that training.

Michel Preud'homme, Club Brugge coach
We worked really well and played very professionally. We do not play on artificial surface every week and we knew no team had won here an European match this season.

We wanted to get the first goal, got that and got three very important points in pursuit of our aim of advancing from the group. I am pleased with the team. We missed maybe a few too many decisive passes and scoring chances, but the defence was really good.

I think it was quite an even game. The difference was that Brugge took their chances very well. As I see it, either team could have won it and 3-0 feels really harsh. It does not tell the full story of the game. Still, Brugge were hard opponents – it was by no means an easy game. We can take positive things from the fact that we played well.

I played as a centre-back and that was no great surprise. I have played in that position before many times, so it was no big deal. I think my own performance was quite OK, but of course I am disappointed because we lost.

Teemu Tainio, HJK midfielder
The game went from end to end, but if the one team scores three goals and the other none, there is not much room for argument. We were forced to make changes too early in midfield and that naturally has an effect, but again that is no excuse. Brugge scored when they had a chance, we did not and that made the difference
