Deserved new deal
The 23-year-old forward was tied to the Spanish Cup runners-up until June 2006 but his excellent performances last season - yielding six goals in 24 league games - have persuaded Osasuna to offer a better deal.
'Continue his progress'
Director of football Juan José Lorenzo said: "Everyone at the club has a lot of faith in the player and with the new deal, we are confident he can continue his progress with us." Osasuna have also signed 23-year-old striker Mikel Arruabarrena from Athletic Club Bilbao's B team, Bilbao Athletic.
