SC Braga's Andrija Delibašić is expected to be out for around four months after damaging the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
The 24-year-old, who is on loan from RCD Mallorca, will undergo surgery on Thursday after sustaining the injury in the 2-0 Portuguese Liga win at Vitória SC on 9 September. Delibašić scored an 82nd-minute goal before being hurt in a challenge with Guimarães midfielder Moreno.
It was initially thought the player had strained a hamstring but further tests showed the problem was much worse. Delibašić will now miss the second leg of Braga's UEFA Cup first-round tie against FK Crvena Zvezda. Braga, who top the Liga after four games, drew 0-0 in Belgrade in the first leg.
