The 27-year-old pulled a calf muscle in the Spanish side's first training session of 2007 and was expected to return in time for the first leg of the UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie against FC Girondins de Bordeaux next week. Delporte was undergoing stringent final tests before linking up with the squad yesterday when he pulled the same muscle again, prompting Osasuna to send him to the Centre Européen de Réeducation du Sportif in France to speed up his recovery. The player last week agreed a three-year contract extension until 2010.
