Swiss sides secure young talents

Youngsters Safet Suljevic and Michel Morganella have signed new contracts with Swiss UEFA Cup contenders FC Sion and FC Basel 1893 respectively.

The 21-year-old Suljevic has signed a four-year deal at Sion binding him to the club until 2011 while 18-year-old Morganella has made a three-year commitment to Basel. The midfielder played two Super League games for Basel last season before spending the latter part of the campaign on loan with FC Chiasso. Basel and Sion will both start their UEFA Cup campaign in the second qualifying round.
